The Essex Society of Genealogists will be holding our 50th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., featuring an all-inclusive buffet luncheon at the Danversport, 161 Elliott St, Danvers, Mass. Parking directions are in this link.

The Danversport is described as the North Shore’s premier event venue and marina, located on the Porter River. The Lighthouse Point reception room features beautiful views of the waterfront, capturing the essential maritime heritage of Essex County.

The celebration will include a look into “The Past, The Present, and The Future” of The Essex Society of Genealogists. Presentations will include a look at our history by charter member David C. Dearborn, FASG, and displays of photos and articles documenting the people, events, and tributes which have made the ESOG the strong organization that it is. We encourage you to share your own memories and visions for the future of ESOG. There will also be games and raffles.

The multi-course luncheon buffet includes:
Appetizer: Cheese and Crackers
Salads: Caesar salad, strawberry salad, with dinner rolls and artisan breads
Entree: Creamy pasta primavera, chicken piccata, and baked haddock, with seasonal vegetables and herb roasted potatoes (Lunch Buffet)
Drink: Dessert/Coffee/Tea/Water/Coke products
