The Essex Society of Genealogists held our 50th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., featuring an all-inclusive buffet luncheon at the Danversport, 161 Elliott St, Danvers, Mass.

The Danversport is described as the North Shore’s premier event venue and marina, located on the Porter River. The Lighthouse Point reception room features beautiful views of the waterfront, capturing the essential maritime heritage of Essex County.

The celebration included a look into “The Past, The Present, and The Future” of The Essex Society of Genealogists. Other presentations included a look at our history by charter member David C. Dearborn, FASG, and displays of photos and articles documenting the people, events, and tributes which have made the ESOG the strong organization that it is. There were also games and raffles.

 

Join us on the 3rd Saturday of the month, from September through May (excluding December), at 12:45 pm ET for our programs. 

Meetings will be held online via Zoom until further notice.
