Submission Guidelines for our Journal, The Essex Genealogist
Submissions are to be sent by email to the editors at firstname.lastname@example.org in an editable Microsoft Word Document.
Submissions should be in 12 point Garamond, Spaced at 1.15, with paragraph spacing at 10 points.
Submissions should be properly cited.
The editors reserve the right to accept or reject any submission.
Neither the editors nor the Essex Society of Genealogists, Inc. assumes responsibility for the content of submissions. Articles and lectures do not reflect the views of the editors or the society.
Submissions are received year round, but all submissions should be received no later than one month before publication.
February issue - December 31 of the previous year
April issue - Feb 28
July issue - May 31
November issue - September 30
Typical response time to submissions is 1-2 months, do not query within this time.
Do not be intimidated by these submission guidelines, we welcome all variety of genealogical submissions. They need not be pages of correctly annotated ahnentafels. We look forward to seeing submissions from members about interesting ancestors and family histories, discoveries in their genealogical research, or all other varieties of topics.
