Proctor's Ledge Confirmed as Witch Execution Site

Today's Salem News carried a long article on the search for the execution site of the witches who were convicted in the Salem witch trials.  Proctor's Ledge had been the suspected site for about the last century, and recent research by Professor Tad Baker and others has confirmed and reinforced the earlier research.  You may read more at Salem News.

Professor Baker is our speaker for the February ESOG presentation.  See ESOG Events

First Post with Ground Rules

This is an area for posting of queries submitted by users and published by the webmaster. Comments from interested parties are encouraged and will be moderated to ensure that they are on topic.  The queries should have some connection to New England genealogy or genetic genealogy.  However, other queries that are genealogically based are acceptable.

All comments will be reviewed before release for general consumption.  This is to discourage persons with no interest in genealogy from posting off-color comments.  While it seems heavy handed, it will protect our users from posts that might offend.
